I Hope This Is What It's Suppose To Be!

7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey isn't usually my cup of tea. I normally don't like "self-help" books. I feel like it's my own life and if I know my own flaws let my deal with them. In other more precise words: Don't tell me what the heck to do. But, 7 HHET seems...to be different. The book, to me anyways, reads like saga, about myself. I can relate to many obstacles and rocks in the book. The most obvious obstacle for me to overcome would be procrastination.

Procrastination is tackled in Habit 3: Put First Things First. The procrastinator is someone who says ,"I'm going to stop procrastinating-sometime soon." This sentence hit home with me; I have repeated it to myself several times. To stop procrastinating the sentence must change to,"Enough, I'm done with it!". And after you commit yourself to this you must have the willpower to follow through.

Procrastination is like eating chocolate in excess. A little bit of procrastination is okay. An excessive amount of procrastination becomes a habit. A bad, and time-consuming habit which causes people to become "stress cases".

I have decided to get organized and to plan my homework and weekday activities out in a recently purchased planner. I have decided to end my addiction to procrastination.
